So, I didn't journal yesterday. Things were quite busy and I didn't get a chance to. The thing I was pretty confused about was the fact that when I woke up yesterday morning, I weighed 171.2 lbs - Okay and just the day before I weighed 168.8 -so I had gained a little over a pound in a day when I worked out harder than I ever have in my life. So, I put on my big girl panties, sucked my gut in, pushed my chest out and decided that I was retaining water and that I didn't eat enough for that workout yesterday.
I realized that the 896 calories was about 9 Activity Points on WW and I only ate 24 out of a daily goal of 23. I did use one of my flexies for the week, but I didn't count the activity points. Last night, I weighed again (which I ususally don't weigh twice in a day) and I had gained up to 172.6. I was pretty bummed. At the same time, Abbey, my daughter was having a breakdown and we were using our new love and logic parenting techniques to no avail. An hour of a tantrum later, I decided to hang it up and go to bed.
I figured, I would be back to my svelte 168.8 weight today or probably lower, since I went to the gym yesterday too and burned another 500 calories (well, 490 to be exact) but guess what? I still weigh 171.2. Is that possible? Have you ever experienced anything like this? Now my muscles are really hurting today - like worse than any of my other workouts in the last seven weeks. I am hoping one of you will say that it's from the muscle retaining water that I have gained a pound or so. I thought I was working toward the 167's this week. Bummer.
I took today off of working out since I couldn't move this morning and every part of my body is hurting. I packed a PNP approved bag of food and headed out to work. I am going to say that I got into some pants I haven't been able to wear in a while and they are cute on me. I know that in a month, I won't care about those 2lbs - but today I do and it tweaks me.
1 Victory - I did bicep curls yesterday with 40lbs. Pretty pumped since I couldn't even lift 10lbs 7 weeks ago.

I Started Weight Watcher's Online
On October 21, my 33rd birthday, I weighed in at 177 pounds. I remember pretty clear that I got some pictures back from an early October trip intending to send those out to family and friends, but was too embarrassed of my weight. Ever had a click? That one thing, that thread that sends you over the top on your weight and fuels the flame to lose it? Someone at my church did that for me.
177 was the most I have ever weighed with the exception of pregnancy. My prepregnancy weight (November 2003) was 169 and I was working out about three days a week at that time doing cardio classes. I had gotten my baby weight off and by February of 2006, I weighed 165lbs and was looking pretty good. By July of that same year, I had gained 12lbs. I guess I stopped working out and kept eating and drinking the same.
I have been on Weight Watchers for seven weeks and have lost to 169.2 pounds (so, eight pounds lost) - about a week ago, I joined a personal training site called www.phit-n-phat.com and have started their workout program.
I can already fit back into clothes I wore only pre pregnancy and it's been great. I have to keep a journal as part of my membership to PNP and I thought I would keep it on this blog.
